Andrew J. Waldner, 81, died Tuesday morning at the Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.
His funeral service will be at noon on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at the Hilldale Colony Chapel. Burial will follow at the Hilldale Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Andrew was born Dec. 13, 1926, in Magreth, Alberta, Canada to Joseph and Rebecca Waldner. He was raised and educated at the Rockport Colony in Alberta, Canada. In 1948 he moved to Pendroy and in 1963 to the Hilldale Colony. He served as the reverend minister for Hilldale from 1963 to 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents and one child at birth. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Katie Waldner of Hilldale Colony; his children, Katie A. Waldner, Andrew (Katie) Waldner, Sarah (David) Kleinsasser, Lena (Sam) Kleinsasser, all of Hilldale Colony, Jacob (Rosa) Waldner of Haryland Colony, Joe (Ruth) Waldner of Hartland Colony, John (Clara) Waldner of Hilldale Colony, Rebecca (Tim) Hofer of Spring Water Colony and Elsie A. Waldner of Hilldale Colony; 33 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
