PAUL LITTLE SUN obituary ROCKY BOY

Paul Little Sun, Indian name of O-Sah- Mahs-Kwah, 79, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at the Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.

His wake service began Sunday afternoon at the Paul Little Sun residence in Rocky Boy. His funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, also at his residence with burial in the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Paul was born April 4, 1929, in Sun River to John and Rose (Walking Child) Little Sun. He was raised and educated in the Rocky Boy area attending Parker Day School, Parker School and Rocky Boy School. He went to work at an early age working for his father and also on different ranches in the area. Paul worked in Havre for Fugelvand Construction, and Nault Plumbing for ten years. His heart was in ranching, though. Paul had a love for animals especially his cattle and horses. Paul enjoyed attending sweat lodge and Native American ceremonies. His greatest times were spent with his family and relatives socializing or going on outings together. Paul also liked watching television and traveling he made many trips to Wyoming. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed riding his horses. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Walking Child Little Sun; his sisters, Mary Little Sun, Lucille Little Sun Windy Boy and Cella Jane Little Sun; two brothers, John Little Sun and Raymond Harris; a son at birth and one great-grandson. Paul is survived by his children, Henry (Elvira) Day Child of Rocky Boy, Sherry May Little Sun Estell of Great Falls, and Erwin (Luanne) Little Sun of Rocky Boy; his half-brother Ernest Spy Glass of Red Pheasant, Saskatchewan, Canada; 60 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; numerous great-great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
