CARRIE SOLHEIM obituary

Carrie Solheim, 86, died Tuesday, Feb, 19, 2008, at the Northern Montana Care Center from natural causes.

Cremation has taken place and her memorial service will be held at a later date. Carrie was born July 22, 1921, in Portland, Ore., to Roy and Cora (Nehring) Campbell. She had a son, Richard, by her first husband. Carrie worked at the Tip Top Caf and Heltne’s service station. She married Ed Solheim in 1952. Ed’s job took them to Williston, N. D; London; Ontario, Canada, and Minot, N. D. Carrie moved back to Havre upon Ed’s death in 1972, where she worked at Northern Montana Hospital as a switchboard operator. Carrie’s favorite pastime was to go shopping and spending time with her grand- and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Solheim; two sisters, June and Janet, and a brother, Glenn Campbell. Carrie is survived by her son, Richard (Ruth) Ervin; granddaughter, Stacey Keller; grandson, Jeremy “J.C.” Ervin; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kameron and Kody Pribyl and Keavan and Kortlynn Keller, all of Havre; brothers, Kenneth (Betty) of Havre and Stanley “Bob” (Anne) Campbell of Baltimore, Md., and her sister, Geraldine (Gerry) Jensen of Vancouver, Wash., and various nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions in Cora’s honor may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
