Hill County Sheriff investigating possible murder

The Hill County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death on the north side of Havre Saturday as a possible homicide, Sheriff Greg Szudera said this morning. Szudera released limited information this morning in a press release, saying that he could not make any additional comment as the incident is still under investigation. The Havre Police Department received a 911 call at 10:58 p.m. in which the caller reported a woman had been hurt and needed medical assistance, the press release said. An ambulance was dispatched from the Havre Fire Department and the ambulance personnel discovered a dead woman at the scene, the release said. The Hill County Sheriff’s Office was notified and deputies responded to the scene and confirmed the information, the release said. The sheriff requested agents with the Montana Department of Criminal Investigation, who are helping the sheriff’s office with the investigation, the release said. The incident is being investigated as a homicide, and potential suspects are being interviewed by the sheriff’s office, the release said.
