JOHN "BUD" SINCLAIR obituary

John L. “Bud” Sinclair, 77 of Helena passed away on May 14, 2008.

Bud was born June 1, 1930, in Chinook to George and Irene Sinclair. Bud graduated from Chinook High School and was a Golden Glove boxer. He served in the Korean War and was in the National Guard. He married Tana Claridge. They had three children: John, Cheryl and Mike. They divorced and he later married Sharlotte Wood and had two children: John and Chantelle He was a carpenter for many years and worked for the Human Rights Commission and the Helena Indian Alliance. He loved to play horseshoes, fish, hunt, play guitar and sing. He was a former president of the Little Shell Tribe. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Sharlotte. Bud is survived by his sisters, Betty (Mike) Randal and Pearl (Fritz) Chilton of Chinook and Ivadel Miller of Salem, Ore.; his children, John (Cindy) Sinclair of Havre, Cheryl Brown of Bakersfield, Calif., Mike Sinclair of Topack, Ariz., Chantelle Henry of East Helena and John (Marianne) Sinclair of Helena; his grandchildren, Jessie (Dick) Fuzesy, Skye Sinclair, Forrest Sinclair, Breck Hicks, China Sinclair, Chenoa Sinclair, Cash Brown and Aden Sinclair; his great grandchildren, Daisy and Aaron Fuzesy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2008, at Montana State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Harrison. A reception will follow these services at the American Legion Hall, 3095 Villard Avenue, Helena. Arrangements by Retz Funeral Home.
