Gladys Lillian (Davis) Vosen Dusek, 87, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at the Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2008. From 10 a. m. to 4 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Her graveside and burial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at the Highland Cemetery with Pastor Richard Rice officiating. Memorial contributions in Gladys’s honor may be made to the North Central Senior Center, 2 Second St. West, Havre, MT 59501. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Gladys was born Feb. 28, 1921, in Box Elder to Sam and Francis (Schikora) Davis. She was raised and educated in Box Elder and graduated from high school in 1939. On June 4, 1939, she married Clifford Vosen in Box Elder where they lived and raised their son Ronnie. Gladys worked for the Box Elder Schools and at the United States Post Office. In 1959 she and Clifford moved to Kila and then later returned to Havre. In 1960, they moved to Waubun, Minn., and then back to Box Elder where Gladys worked for the post office. Clifford passed away in 1976. On Sept. 24, 1977, Gladys married Fred Dusek and moved north of Havre. Gladys moved back to Havre in 1992 after her second husband passed away. Gladys enjoyed gardening and raising flowers. Her garden produced many vegetables that she liked to can. She also enjoyed crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands and one sister, Lois Peterson. Gladys is survived by her son, Ronnie (Karen) Vosen of Havre; one granddaughter, Jodi (Andy) Kueffler of Great Falls; two great-grandsons Cory and Brady Kueffler both of Great Falls; and one sister, Janet Davis Bibus of Great Falls.
