Four Denton teens die in fiery crash

Four Denton teens were killed in a fiery one-vehicle rollover near Denton Saturday morning. Three of the teens were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth teen was pronounced dead after arriving at Central Montana Medical Center in Lewistown. The survivors were able to get out before the vehicle caught fire. They were both taken to Central Montana Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The town of Denton, with a population of 301, according to the 2000 census, is northwest of Lewistown. Authorities released the names of four teenagers killed in the one-vehicle rollover on Sunday. The victims were 17-year-old Jace Jelinek, 14-year-old Dayne Heble, and brothers 17-year-old Kale Phelps and 14-year-old Kade Phelps who was taken to the hospital. The Montana Highway Patrol says six people were in the vehicle when it drifted on the shoulder of Montana Highway 81, and rolled when the driver overcorrected. The vehicle caught fire after ending up overturned in a ditch. The two survivors escaped before the vehicle caught fire and suffered minor injuries. They were treated in Lewistown for minor injuries.
