Kathryn (Jeppesen) Jensen, age 87, a retired Sweetgrass Hills farm/ranch wife, who taught elementary school in her younger years and enjoyed singing, died of natural causes on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at the Liberty County Nursing Home in Chester.
Funeral services will be at 11 a. m., Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Chester. Following burial at the Chester Cemetery, a reception will be held at the church. Arrangements are by Rockman Funeral Chapel of Chester. Memorials may be given to the Liberty County Senior Center, the Hi-Line Health Foundation, the Chester-J.I. School Foundation or to one of a donor’s choice. Survivors are her daughter, Connie (Ted) Mathis of Belgrade; three grandsons, Gavin, Kip and Hans; a greatgrandson, Drake; sister-in-law, Gladys Meissner of Chester; and brother-in-law, Hales Scalese of Galata. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harold in 2001; a daughter, Ardyce in 1999; and her two siblings, Harold Jeppesen and Ambjorg Scalese.
