MARCIA NORDGULEN REISLI obituary

Marcia Nordgulen Reisli, 52, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at her home in Havre of natural causes.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later time. Marcia was born May 24, 1956, in Havre, to Curtis and Jean (Weyh) Nordgulen. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1974. She attended Carroll College and graduated in 1978 with degrees in social work and religious education. She furthered her education at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash., where she graduated with her master's degree in education. She moved to New York City and taught at the Notre Dame Academy for girls in Staten Island, N. Y. She married Yasar Reisli in 1989; he died in 2007. Marcia moved back to Havre in 2007 to be near family. Marcia was a very educated person who had a passion for teaching and was an easy person to love. She enjoyed the ocean and wanted to live near the coast some day. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Nordgulen, and her husband, Yasar Reisli. Marcia is survived by her father, Curtis Nordgulen of Great Falls; her sister, Mari (Jason) VanSlyke of Havre; her brother, Marcus Nordgulen of Havre; a half brother, Allan “Butch” Burritt of Moses Lake, Wash.; and several cousins. Her pride and joy were her niece and nephews: Cassie VanSlyke, Cody VanSlyke and Keiffer Nordgulen. Holland & Bonine is assisting the family.
