Cruz Michael Friede, A 1-month and 9-day-old infant, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, at the Northern Montana Hospital.
His wake service was Friday at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with his funeral service 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, also at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church. Burial followed in Havre at the Highland Cemetery. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Cruz was born July 19, 2008, in Havre to Jacob Murie and Priscilla Friede. Cruz lived with his mother in Box Elder. Although our baby boy was with us for a very brief time, he was and always will be loved eternally. He was a very good baby and is now in God’s hands. He touched many lives and hearts in our small community. He was greatly loved by anyone who was blessed with the opportunity to hold and kiss him. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Thomas and Josephine Koop; uncles, Tom Koop Jr. And Robert L. Murie. Cruz is survived by his parents, Priscilla Friede and Jacob Murie; sister, Jada Murie of Great Falls; two brothers, Isaiah Murie of Rocky Boy and Darius Murie of Great Falls; maternal grandparents, Harvey and Barb Friede of Box Elder; paternal grandparents, Robert and Sandra Murie of Rocky Boy; aunts, Lisa (Ted) Russette of Box Elder, Jodi Murie of Rocky Boy and Geri (Bernard) Calvin, of Viriniga; and uncles, Blair Friede of Box Elder, Tom (Cynthia) Koop of Rocky Boy, James (Lynn) Murie of Rocky Boy and John (Kim) Murie of Havre..
