Lonnie W. Bone, 55, of Loveland passed away the morning of Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at the McKee Medical Center in Loveland following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Lonnie William Bone was born in Harlem, Mont., on Jan. 22, 1953, to Maurice and Irene (Akino) Bone and attended Havre High School, Havre, Mont. Lonnie worked numerous years in the oil fields in Montana and Colorado. He moved to Colorado in 1982. Lonnie married Cynthia G. Eversole in Greeley, Colo., on July 20, 1984, and they moved to Loveland in 1989. Lonnie loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed gold prospecting and was a member of the Gold Prospectors of America. He was also a member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe. Lonnie was a gentle soul with a kind and generous heart and devoted family man. Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Irene. Lonnie is survived by his wife, Cindy Bone of Loveland, and their daughters Heather Vansant and husband, Lee, of Wellington and Rachael Murphy and son, Michael Zeeb, of Greeley; sisters Grace DuBois and husband, Lee, and Marcella Crichton and Lorrie Bone of Havre; brothers Lloyd Bone of Havre and Robert Bone of Billings; grandchildren Joshua Eisentraut of Loveland, Jacob Murphy of Greeley and Baby Vansant. Viewing will be held today at Kibbey Fishburn Funeral Home with services on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church Of the Good Shepherd, and interment in Loveland Burial Park.
