Tester undecided on auto bailout

HELENA

U. S. Sen. Jon Tester says he has not yet made a decision on the proposed $25 billion auto industry bailout. Tester says he has some concerns about the proposal, which is stalling in Congress. A vote is pending in the Senate. Tester voted against the earlier Wall Street bailout. He says Montanans have "bailout fatigue." The first-term senator says a lot of industries are struggling and he believes solutions are needed that help all of them. Tester says he has other concerns about the auto bailout. Among them, he said, is the lack of guarantees that the money would go toward creating American jobs, since the companies also produce cars in other countries. (AP)
