DARLENE LOUISE (BOWMAN) SCHRAM obituary

Darlene Louise (Bowman) Schram, 80, who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, camping and fishing, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at the Northern Montana Care Center from complications associated with Parkinson’s Disease.

Her funeral service will be 1 p. m., Monday, Nov. 24, 2008. At the First Lutheran Church with Pastor Brad Ulgeness officiating. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the services. Burial will be held in Conrad, Mont., at the Hillside Cemetery on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions in Darlene’s honor may be made to: Parkinson’s Disease Association 500 15th Ave., Great Falls, MT 59405. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Darlene was born April 5, 1928, in Parkers Prairie, Minn., to Fay and Ellen Bowman. She was raised and educated in Parkers Prairie. She married Hugo Schram on Dec. 5, 1946, in Parker’s Prairie. The couple farmed in Minnesota for a few years. They sold the farm and moved to Havre in September of 1959, where they raised their two children. Darlene was a member of the First Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and four brothers. Darlene is survived by her husband of 61 years, Hugo Schram of Havre, Mont.; one daughter, Betty (Michael Peck) Schram of Hobson, Mont., one son, Dale (Norma) Schram of Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Elaine (Harlan) Schram of Conrad, Mont.
