Rita A. (Henderson) Andrews, 53, a bartender and waitress, died Sunday, Nov. 30 at her home in Conrad from cancer.
Funeral services will be 10 a. m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at the 5th Avenue Christian Church in Havre. There will a luncheon at the Eagles Club before the burial. Burial will be at the Henderson Family Ranch in South Blaine County. Adams Kirkwood Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Ernie Andrews of Conrad; daughters, Lacy Andrews of Cheney, Wash., Billi Jo Andrews of Conrad, Rahn Henderson of Seattle; two brothers and five sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Greg; and sisters Mary and Sarah Vonne. Rita was born July 31, 1955, in Havre, the daughter of Gregory J. and Elaine Jean (Hockett) Henderson. She was raised on the family ranch near Warrick and attended school there. She worked as a bartender and waitress in Havre and Chinook. It was at Chinook that she met her future husband and they were married on Nov. 7, 1981, in Havre. They lived in Havre and moved to Conrad in 1999. She continued to work as a bartender, waitress or cook in Conrad. Rita loved music, dancing, spending time with family and friends, fishing, hunting and playing pool. She had a gift of making everyone feel special.
