Edward G. Dahl, 84, long-time Blaine County farmer and rancher, passed away at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls on Jan. 8, 2008, due to natural causes.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation has taken place and burial of the remains will be at a later date in Kuper Memorial Cemetery. Edward was born on July 26, 1923, in Chinook to Andrew and Anna (Auran) Dahl. He was raised in the area and graduated from Chinook High School in 1941. He has been active in the family farm and ranch all his life until retiring in 1994 and later moving to Chinook. Edward was active in the American Lutheran Church, and the Chinook Senior Citizen Center. His hobbies included walking, playing pinochle and other card games. He also enjoyed working four days a week at the Senior Citizens Center. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill, Oscar and Arthur Dahl, and a nephew, Scott Dahl. Edward is survived by a brother, Howard Dahl, and a sister, Helen Rasmussen, both of Chinook, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be sent to the American Lutheran Church or Chinook Senior Citizens Center.
