Superstition? It is unlucky to be behind at the end of a game! Julie and Robert Fegan captured the top spot in the Men's Vendetta with their 1,632. Cindy Turner and Shawn Holden's 1,614 fell to second followed by, Christy and Shawn Holden 1,588; Arlene Ball and Ival Jackson 1,587; Cindy and Ron Turner 1,576; and Tiffany Laisnez and Kelly Olson and Gary Rettig and Sandy Jones 1,559s. Ival Jackson hit another 300 and Kelly Olson had five. Havre Youth will be having their awards and fun day from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. It is that time of the year when bowlers ask when are we done, what's the last day, etc. I was told the bowling season is very, very long and I agree. When the weather starts getting nicer the last place I want to be is closed up in a bowling alley. But, in this town bowling is considered seasonal by most and a business cannot survive on a short season and remain in operation. My point, before you vote on a long season and come spring complain about it, consider paying a little extra each week and cut it shorter. Faye Brubaker and Roxana Mangold have birthdays tomorrow. Brian Anderson picked the 3-6-7-9; Dee Miller, Lynette Harada, Dianne Watson, and Lorna Bjerga 5-10s; Anna Toner 5-7; Leila Haigler 5-8-10; Carol Chagnon 5-7-9; Ann McKnight 4-5; and Michale Beck 3-7 and 4-10. Barb DeRosa threw the highs of 225 and 547. Sharnia Hamilton had a 500; Ruth Vukasin 208, 526; Christy Holden 521; Lisa Morrell 526; Jackie Mayer 510, 207, 508; Michale Beck 212, 524; and Kathye Etchison 536. How about three 700s last week! Mike Hamilton added up games of 223, 289 and 236 for a 748; Kelly Olson had games of 235, 229 and 252 for a 716; and Mike Purkett 222, 266 and 237 for a 725. Hamilton had a 256 and 642 the following night. Kevin Tweeten shot a 244; Lorin Teske 245; Ron Turner 602 and 610; Roy Hamilton 612; Ken Erickson 614; Art Olson 663; Kyle Surber 694; Bret Preeshl 623; Bob Ingram 618; Ryan Mapes 242, 688; Mike Sherrill 616; and Andy Owens 623. Kelly Olson added a 209 to his 716 for the high four game of 925. Mike Hamilton had an 866; Don Jones 801; Roy Hamilton 826; Ken Erickson 839; Art Olson 871; and Kyle Surber 849.
