ADELINE EVELYN (NORDRUM) NELSON obituary

Adeline Evelyn (Nordrum) Nelson of Great Falls, a retired custodian at Northern Montana College, died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at Peace Hospice of natural causes.

A graveside service will be held a later date at Highland Cemetery in Havre. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the O’Connor Funeral Home. Survivors include her daughters, Janice McGiboney of Great Falls and Linda (Bill) Arlint of Kalispell; sister-in-law, Grace Nordrum of Havre; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Nelson in 1973; sons, Ralph Nelson in 1966 and Donnie Nelson in 2006; brothers, Arnold and Percy Nordrum; and sisterin- law, Lorraine Nordrum. Adeline was born May 27, 1921, in Barnesville, Minn. She grew up and attended school in Barnesville. She married Clarence Nelson in 1940, and he died in 1973. In Havre, Adeline worked at Sacred Heart Hospital, Deaconess Hospital and Northern Montana College until her retirement in 1986. Adeline was an active member of the Havre Eagles Lodge, participating on the drill team. Memorials are suggested to Peace Hospice, Eagles Auxiliary in Havre, or the donor’s choice.
