Elaine Almos, 74, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2008, in San Diego.
Elaine was born to Sena and Neli Almos in Hingham, Mont., on Oct. 21, 1933. She graduated from Havre High School in 1951 and from the University of Montana in 1955 with a degree in journalism. Her career in journalism and office management spanned 40 years, working both in private industry and nonprofit senior organizations. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Alpha Broderick and Gladys Ophus; and brother Norman Almos. She is survived by her longterm friend, Fran Frazee of San Diego; sisters, Jan Johannsen of Portland, Ore., and Laura Rathbone of Havre, Mont., and numerous nieces and nephews.
