Walter H. Fouts, 79, retired military and a farmer/ rancher in Malta, died Sept. 7, 2008, at the Hi-Line Retirement Center in Malta.
His wife, Isabel Fouts, died within three hours of him. Funeral services will be combined for husband and wife, Walter and Isabel Fouts, on Saturday, Sept.13, 2008, at the Turner High School Gymnasium with burial following in the Turner Cemetery. Military honors will be performed for Walter by the Turner American Legion Post No. 109. Edwards Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Fouts is survived by sons, Duane Fouts of Scottsdale, Ariz., Dan Fouts of Albuquerque, N.M., Chet Fouts of Turner and Arlo Fouts of Great Falls; sister, Grace DeSaye of Prescott, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
