Dorothy (May) Lineweaver, 79, who enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and shopping, died of natural causes Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at a Great Falls hospital.
Memorial services will be 11 a. m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at the Chester United Methodist Church. A reception will follow. Her ashes will be buried at the Highland Cemetery in Havre. Arrangements are by Rockman Funeral Chapel of Chester. Dorothy was born May 1, 1929, near Inverness. She received her education there, graduating from Inverness High School in 1947. On Oct. 1, 1950, she married Charles Lineweaver. They made their home on the Lineweaver farm north of Inverness during their 58 years of married life. Dorothy loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Anna May, an infant sister, Katherine May, and a grandson, Kevin Lineweaver. Survivors are her husband, Chuck Lineweaver, of north Inverness; two daughters, Susan (Craig) Berg of Kremlin and Bernie (Glen) Phelps of Butte; a son, Ron (Debbie) Lineweaver of Joplin; two brothers, John May of Inverness and Uriel May of Missoula; five grandchildren, Chris and Kimberly Berg, Kels and Randi Phelps, and Curt Lineweaver; and two great-randchildren, Karie Sue and Michael. Memorials may be given to the Kevin Lineweaver Memorial Scholarship Fund, Box 124, Joplin, Mt. 59531, the Chester United Methodist Church, or the donor’s choice.
