Francis John Vanni, 82, died on Nov. 11, 2008.
He was a graduate of St. Jude Thaddeus School and attended Havre High School. A long-time member of t h e Di s a b l e d Ame r i c a n Veterans, he served in World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. A memorial was celebrated in Fairfax, Calif.
