DELORES MAE BERGFALK obituary

Delores Mae Bergfalk, 78, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away unexpectantly on Jan.5, 2009.

She was born on May 26, 1930, to Johanna and John Plowman on the farm in Brooten, Minn. Delores was the eldest of five children. After graduating from high school in Clara City, Minn. She went on to Louisville, Ky. To attain her business degree. On Dec. 2, 1950, she married Charlesa Bergfalk in Clara City, Minn. Delores and Chuck lived in Willmar and Minneapolis, Minn., until 1968. From there they and their two daughters moved to Havre, Mont. It was in Havre that Delores started up the Havre Health Foods Store. After 17 years of running a very successful business she retired. In 1993 Delores and Chuck moved to Great Falls, Mont. The couple also spent many fine winters in Sun City West, Ariz. Delores was a member of Chistian Women and Sunrise Presbyterian Church. She dearly adored her five grandsons and all of their sporting activities. Her nine-month old greatgrandson was a real joy to her, especially this past Christmas. Delores will always be remembered by her family and friends as a very caring and loving person. She will be dearly missed by all. Her husband Chuck preceded her in death 13 months ago. Survivors include her daughters, Carla (Phil) Pfeifle of Power and Susan (Steve) Homec of Bozeman, Mont.; brother, Russell (Donna) Plowman of San Diego, Calif; sisters, June (Harold) Swanson of Clara City, Minn., Ruby Swanson of Fullerton, Calif., and Eunice (Daryl) Johnson of Raymond, Minn.; five grandsons, Ryan (Janna) Pfeifle of Vaughn, Darren (Erin) Pfeifle of Hungry Horse, Nicholas Homec of Helena and Marcus and Eric Homec of Bozeman; and one great-grandson, Greyson Pfeifle of Hungry Horse, Mont. Memorials in Delores’ name may be sent to Sunrise Presbyterian Church, 3809 6th Ave. South, Great Falls, MT 59405 or Shriner’s Hospital for Children, P.O. Box 2472, Spokane, WA 99210-2472. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at Sunrise Presbyterian Church with burial following at the Manchester Cemetary.
