Beverly C. Winchell lost her battle with cancer and died on March 2, 2009, at Northern Montana Care Center.
Beverly was born in Glasgow Mont., Dec. 7, 1948. She moved to Havre in 1956. She attended St. Jude’s, Havre Central and Havre High School. Beverly married Victor Winchell in 1968 and had two sons, William “Billy Joe” and Brian. Beverly worked as a cook for Head Start for many years and was also a caregiver at Havre Day Activity. She very much loved people, especially her many nieces, nephews and her three grandchildren: Desiree, Christina and Ryan Winchell. Beverly was an Avon dealer for many years and a longstanding volunteer at the Community Give Away, which allowed her to visit with her many beloved friends. Beverly’s sense of humor will be greatly missed. Beverly was preceded in death by her father, Richard Ambrose Bretzke, her sister Cheryl and brother James. Beverly is survived by her husband; two children; two grand-children; her mother, Hattie Bretzke; her sisters and brothers Linda Hinkle, Dick Bretzke, Melody Bretzke, Leo Bretzke and Leta Nelson; and her many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Holland & Bonine Funeral home at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 6, at with graveside service to follow at Highland Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
