GEORGE S. DENNY obituary

George S. Denny, Eagle Feather Ki-i-ew-kwah-n, 74, died Sunday March 8, 2009, at his residence.

The cause of his death has not yet been determined. His wake service began Thursday, March 12, 2009, at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with traditional services beginning 10 a.m. today, also at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Denny Family Cemetery. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. George was born Jan. 2, 1935, in Rocky Boy to Pat and Florence (Denny) Stump. He was raised and educated in Rocky Boy and attended Stone Child College. George enjoyed listening to Native American music, completing arts and crafts and doing beadwork. He was active in the Native American Church and participated in the Sundances, sweats and in the traditional song and dance. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren. George is survived by his daughters: Georgian (Lennis) Bulltail of Lodgegrass, Mont., Josephine Joy (Mike Yellow Mule) of Wyola, Mont., Donna De (Roger St. Pierre Jr.) Of Billings, Mont., Jennifer Fatima Denny of Havre, Mont., and Tanya North West of Hobbema, Alberta, Canada; sons: Quentin Jason (Elaine) Denny of Browning, Mont., and George Todd (Verna) Denny of Fort Belknap, Mont.; sisters: Dorothy Crane, Harriet Standingrock and Deanna (Alex Denny) Standingrock, all of Rocky Boy, Mont.; brothers: Videl Stump, Russell Standingrock, Douglas Standingrock and Ken Standingrock, all of Rocky Boy, Mont.; 21 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
