ELAINE ALMA (ARNDT) CLINE obituary

Elaine Alma (Arndt) Cline, 86, passed away very peacefully in the Big Sandy Medical Center long-term care on March 24, 2009, of natural causes.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009, at the Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeff Stoopes officiating. Burial will follow at the Big Sandy Cemetery. Memorials in Elaine’s honor may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Elaine was born in Leroy, Mont., on Jan. 22, 1923, with the help of Mrs. George Briant, the nurse. On Jan. 2, 1940, she married Lester H. Cline in Fort Benton. The couple lived out on the prairie and worked on the family farm. In 1972 they moved to Big Sandy. Elaine was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to take care of her flowers in her yard. She also enjoyed cooking big meals. She wanted to make sure that everyone had enough to eat. One of her best desserts, which everyone loved to eat, was her apple pie. Elaine also loved to travel to Wolf Creek to visit her sister, Vera. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lester; four brothers; three sisters; one nephew; and two nieces. Elaine is survived by her two sons; Leon (Twila) Cline and Dale (Carrie) Cline; her sister, Vera Corrigan of Wolf Creek; four grandsons; eight great-grandchildren all of Big Sandy, Mont.; and her brother- in-law, Floyd Cline of Havre, Mont. Surviving her also are numerous nieces and nephews.
