Dr. Vladimir Blawatsky, 84, died Tuesday March 24, 2009, at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, Mont., of natural causes.
His prayer vigil service will be 4 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009, at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel and his funeral Mass 2 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2009, at the St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Robert D. Grosch officiating. Burial will fo l l ow a t t h e Hi g h l a n d Ceme t e ry. Memo r ial s i n Vladimir’s honor may be made to St. Jude Thaddeus School or to the St. Jude Catholic Church. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Vladimir was born January 10, 1925, in Stroniatyn, Ukraine. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters. Vladimir is survived by his wife Sonya of Havre, Mont.; his children: Sonya (Mauricio) Sartorius of Madrid, Spain; Nicholas (Tracy) Blawatsky of Bu t t e, Mo n t . ; El i z a b e t h Blawat sky of Livings ton, Mont.; John (Renee) Blawatsky of Scottsdale, Ariz. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Isa (Hamish) Burte, Pepito S a n M a r t i n , G a b r i e l l e Blawatsky, Larysa Blawatsky, Sofia Blawatsky and Nick Blawatsky; and by two sisters, Olha and Maria. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
