Rebecca L. Jess, 62, of Muscatine, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at Genesis Hospital - East Campus, Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p. m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at the Ralph J. Wittich- Riley-Freers Funeral Home, 1931 Houser Street. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a. m. until noon, on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Mike Smith. She married Joseph L. Jess on Aug. 28, 1982, in Barstow, California. She had worked as a home health aide in Havre. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Jess, formerly of Havre; four sons; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Beverly Warner of Pleasant Valley, Nancy Smith of Barstow, Calif., and Diane Standeford of Williamsport, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents.
