BONNIE JO HRANAC obituary

Bonnie Jo Hranac passed away Sunday night, March 1, 2009, with her family at her side at the Northern Montana Hospital in Havre.

She was born Feb. 22, 1932, to Frank P. Tanfield and Bertha Jane Tanfield in Burley, Idaho. She attended school in Burley and, after graduation, moved to Pocatello, Idaho, to attend college, where she met Eldon Berdean Hayes. On June 20, 1952, they were married. Eldon was in the U.S. Air Force so they moved to several different locations and raised five children. They later divorced and she married William J. Hranac and had three more children. Bonnie moved to Havre where she worked as a waitress at the truck stop and for many years the 4Bs. After leaving the 4Bs for health concerns, she taught Sunday school at the Church of Latter Day Saints and volunteered at the Feed My Sheep soup kitchen until her health continued to get worse. She loved to play bingo, put puzzles together and play cards. But most of all she loved her children and grandchildren, however, you did not have to be related to Bonnie by blood for her to consider you one of her kids. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, two sisters and a brother, one son, a grandson and two great grandchildren.. She is survived by her children Ronald Hayes, Sue (Ed) Kreiman, Peggy Anderson, Lee Hayes, Melanie Hranac, Curtis Hranac, Eva VanWenchel; 17 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren. Services are to be held at the Church of Latter Day Saints in Havre on Thursday, March 5, 2009, at 10 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. A committal of her ashes in Idaho will take place later this summer. Services are in the care of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home of Havre.
