WARREN FRANKLIN HENDERSON, obituary

Warren Franklin Henderson, born Sept. 3, 1942, in Havre, Mont., passed away on March 21, 2009, in Helena, Mont., where he and his wife had recently relocated.

Warren attended all of his years of schooling in Havre, Mont. His last place of employment for the past 22 years was at AgriBasics in Havre. Warren married Lena Finch in 1967 in Helena, Mont. Lena had a daughter, Kitty Rae, whom Warren adopted and raised. In 1979, Warren married the love of his life, Janice Swinney, and spent 29 wonderful years. Warren was a friend to all he met and was willing to help in any way that he could, from assorted odd jobs to mechanic work. Warren enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, as well as taking a tour on the dance floor. He loved playing pool, bowling, throwing horseshoes, hunting and fishing. In addition to being a loving husband and brother, Warren was a loving father and uncle who will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Gertrude Henderson; his brothers, Joe Henderson, Ralph “Bud” Henderson, Melvin Rodgers, and Ted Shropshire, and his sisters, Lois (Henderson) Garding and Clara (Rodgers) Stratton. Warren is survived by his wife, Janice; his daughter Kitty Rae Henderson; his brothers, Mick (Betty) Shropshire and Richard (Dory) Henderson; his sister, Bernadine (Bill) Laursen; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Albus, Bill Hinkle, Mike Bailey, Steve Bailey, John Roberts Sr. And John Roberts Jr. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009, at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery. A gathering for family and friends who wish to remember Warren’s life will be held at the Eagles Club following the service.
