Gladys A. “Shorty” Jeppesen Meissner, 79, a former Sweetgrass Hills area ranch wife and homemaker, became ill at home early Tuesday morning and died.
She loved traveling, shopping and fishing and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Chester. Following burial at the Chester Cemetery, a reception will be held at the church. Arrangements are by Rockman Funeral Chapel of Chester. Survivors include her three children, Pamela (John) Seidlitz of Great Falls, Ken Jeppesen of Billings, and Wallace Meissner of Chester; three grandchildren, Rylan, Jeff and Jeremy; two greatgranddaughters, Mary and Emily; and two sisters, Jean Orr and Marcie Curto. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Harold Jeppesen in 1975 and George Meissner in 1997; and a son, Wesley Jeppesen in 1969.
