Jennett “Jackie” Brubaker, 69, passed away Dec. 23, 2008, in Carson City, Nev., after a lengthy illness.
Jackie was born Dec. 24, 1938, in Great Falls, Mont., to Murvel A. and Ellen Een Kinder. She attended schools in Havre. Mont., and Rudyard, Mont., and worked as a bookkeeper for Eddy’s Bakery in Havre for many years. She and former husband Kenny Brubaker owned and operated Pep’s Bar and Lanes in Big Sandy, Mont., for several years. For the past 10 years she lived in Laughlin, Nev., where she worked for Harrah’s and the Golden Nugget. She moved to Carson City to live with her sister in September of this year. Jackie is survived by her brother Ron Kinder of Great Falls and sister Pat Newcomb and brother Wayne Kinder, both of Carson City. A memorial service will be scheduled in June during the In Gathering in Rudyard. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the ASPCA.
