Opal Geraldine (Grubb) Groseclose Wolfe, commonly known as Gerry Wolfe, 78, a retired farmwife who enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, and dancing, died of natural causes on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at her Chester home.
Memorial services will be 2 p. m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Chester. A reception will follow at the church. Burial of ashes will be at the Erickson Cemetery south of Chester. Cremation and arrangements are by Rockman Funeral Chapel of Chester. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hi-Line Health Foundation in Chester. Gerry is survived by her three children, Ron (Bev) Groseclose of Hingham, Sharon (Robert) Gomke of Kremlin, and Linda (Don) Dill of Arlington, Tenn.; four grandsons; and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Malcolm Groseclose in 1961 and Delmar Wolfe in 2003; a grandson, Jason Groseclose, and her four siblings.
