The $787 billion stimulus bill signed into law Tuesday by President Barack Obama will bring Montana at least $626 million in spending and tax breaks. Montana's two U.S. senators say it should also create or protect 11,000 jobs in the state over the next two years. Democratic Sens. Max Baucus and Jon Tester say tax cuts make up about one-third of the stimulus package. The bill offers a tax credit to individuals of $400 and $800 for couples. College students will receive up to $2,500 in tax credits for their studies.
