KENNETH VERN BEBEE obituary

Kenneth Vern Bebee, 74, of Great Falls, a retired radio technician, died Tuesday at a local hospital from natural causes.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Croxford Funeral Home and Crematory. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Private inurnment will take place at Hillcrest Mausoleum. He is survived by his wife, Evalee Bebee of Great Falls; sons, John (Kim Schulke) Bebee, Steve (Mary Pat) Bebee and Grant (Doree) Bebee; sisters, Dorothy (Ray) Nitz and Lois Emanuelson; brothers, Frank (Loretta) Bebee and Henry (Helen) Bebee; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Kenneth was born Oct. 25, 1934, in Red Lodge, Mont. He was raised at Creek Crossing near Malta and attended high school and technical school. He married the love of his life, Evalee, on Sept. 25, 1953 in Malta, Mont. He was employed at Triangle Telephone Cooperative/Hill County Electric. He was a labor union steward for many years. He enjoyed operating Hamm radios. His call sign was “WA7AEX.” He played the steel guitar in the Sundowners, which was a popular country band in the area. He attended his grandchildren’s sports activities and loved watching them play. He liked computers and became quite a computer tech after he retired. He is preceded in death by a brother, Gary Bebee, and sisters Orpha Megenity and Lorene Krause. He was known as Grampa, Dad, Ken and KB, and will always be loved by his family and friends.
