Violet M. “Vi” Woods, 99, an Inverness area farm wife who taught school in Inverness from 1950 to 1975 and enjoyed reading, crocheting and walking, died of natural causes on Thursday at the Liberty Medical Center in Chester.
Funeral services will be 11 a. m. Monday at the Chester United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at the church. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Highland Cemetery in Havre. Arrangements are by Rockman Funeral Chapel of Chester. Survivors are two sons, William “Bill” Woods of Rudyard and Walter Woods of Richland, Wash.; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandson. She was preceded in death by her husband William Roscoe Woods in 1959 and a son, Barry Woods, in 1944.
