Bruce L. Wipf, 55, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at Northern Montana Hospital after having cancer for two-and- a-half years.
Cremation has taken place, and at his request no services will be held. A private family burial will take place at a later time. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
Bruce was born Oct. 18, 1954, in Havre, Mont., to John and Ernestine Wipf. He enlisted in the United States Navy but served only a short time because of foot problems. Bruce was employed by Northern Montana Hospital for 33 years as a courier in the purchasing department.
He enjoyed playing cards, shooting darts and dancing. He mowed lawns and shoveled snow for 50 widows before he developed cancer. Bruce was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles Aerie 166.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Wipf, in February 2003.
Bruce is survived by his mother, Ernestine Wipf of Havre; his brother, Jim Wipf of Havre; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
