Over the course of the last year, I've had the pleasure of working on a project with Rep. Wendy Warburton. The project, House Joint Resolution 25 (HJ25), is an initiative that Rep. Warburton sponsored during the last legislative session at the request of individuals who have concerns about long-term care and the Medicaid application process.
We've spent many hours with members from the Department of Health and Human Services, Montana State Ombudsman, Senior and Long Term Care Division and Medicaid hammering out issues that make it difficult for the elderly to obtain Medicaid when they need it. The elderly is our most vulnerable population.
I've been very impressed with Rep. Warburton's straight-forward approach, her integrity and her advocacy for the elderly.
She does her homework and makes decisions based on the facts, and she isn't afraid to ask questions.
Rep. Warburton cares about her constituents along the Hi-Line. She is intelligent and hardworking. She has done an excellent job representing the Hi-Line and people of our communities.
