Wendy Warburton is a legislator for the people, not the party.

Have your taxes gone up? Did you read about the proposed property tax mitigation bill that went through the Legislature last year? It sounded great, but all it really ended up doing for most people around here was raise our property taxes.

While most Republicans in Helena voted for that bill, Wendy saw through it and voted against it. I appreciate that. I don't know, maybe it did help out some people in Western Montana, but it sure didn't help us out here. Now that law is going through the courts. And, by the way, Bob Bergren voted for it.

That's one thing that showed me that Wendy votes for what is right for the people here, where she comes from, not how party leaders or Western Montanans want her to vote.
