Dorothy Emily Durocher
Dorothy Emily Durocher, 85, a caregiver, died of natural causes on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at her home in Havre. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. At her request, no services are planned.  Dorothy was born Sept. 7, 1925, in Radville, Sakatchewan, Canada, to Frederick Chase and Hazel Lillian McNaught Chase.  She attended school in Bowdoin, Malta, Mont., Phoenix, Ariz., Upper Lyle, New York and Billings Business College. Dorothy married Roland E. Durocher in Malta in 1942. They resided in Malta, Anaconda, Cut Bank, Conrad, Havre and Glasgow. Roland and Dorothy were happily married until Roland’s death in 1978. Dorothy resided in Havre for the past 30 years.
In addition to being a wonderful wife and mother and a loving grandmother, Dorothy worked outside her home all of her adult life as a retail clerk and caregiver.  Dorothy loved reading, gardening, golfing, visiting with family and friends and sharing photos of her beloved great-grandchildren. Dorothy was also active in the St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Daughters.
Survivors include her daughter, Raye (Jim) Thompson of Harlem, Mont. ; her son, Robert (Colleen) Durocher of Vaughn, Mont. ; her sister, Mary Lou Sintler of Malta, Mont. ; her brothers, Don (Agnes) Chase and Bill Chase of Butte, Mont. ; four grandchildren, Kevin (Patricia) Durocher, Michael (Lena) Thompson, Leigh Thompson (Leonard) Hofer and Roland (Diedri) Durocher; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Chase and Hazel Chase Vogt; her beloved husband, Roland, sisters, Edith Chase Groth, Mary Ann Chase Vylasek; and brother, Aaron Chase.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church or to a charity of one's choice.
