Theresa J. Kinniburgh, 42, died Thursday Oct. 21, 2010, at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls, Mont., due to complications from surgery. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held in the Flathead area at a later time. Services were entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
Theresa was born Sept, 21, 1968, in Kalispell, Mont., to Richard L. and Nancy (Poston) Barron. She was raised in the Flathead area and attended Flathead High School where she met her husband of 18 years, Dennis. After she graduated, Theresa and her mother were struck by a thoughtless driver, and she sustained many lifelong injuries from that accident. Theresa faced all of her challenges with high spirits. In 2000 she and her family moved to Havre where she could constantly be seen walking. In April of this year, she acquired a guide dog named Dusky to assist her with her failing eyesight.
Theresa was always kind, compassionate and understanding. She was always placing the needs of others above her own. She enjoyed baking and taking care of others.
In her last ailing months, she spent much time holding hands with her husband and being surrounded by her three boys, Patrick, Paul and Peter.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Theresa is survived by her husband of 18 years, Dennis Kinniburgh, and her three sons, Patrick, Paul and Peter Kinniburgh all of Havre, Mont. ; her parents, Richard and Nancy Barron of Kalispell, Mont. ; her sisters, Paula Standon of Columbia Falls, Mont., and Andrea Barron of Bangkok, Thailand; her twin brother, Mark Barron of Kalispell, Mont. ; her brother, Bruce Barron of Palmdale, Calif. ; and her guide dog, Dusk (Dusky).
