Bruce E. Bernardi
Bruce E. Bernardi
Bruce E. Bernardi, 51, was released from the pain of this life on Nov. 21, 2010, with his sister Gina at his side.
He was born Aug. 23, 1959, in Butte, Mont., to Peggy (Grimm) Bernardi. He lived all over Montana, attending school throughout, attending his last high school in Havre. At age 19, after moving to Bakersfield, Calif., Bruce was injured in a automobile accident, which left him a quadriplegic up until the time of his death.
Bruce had a very charismatic personality, sometimes providing his own entertainment. He was a classic car lover and owned several throughout his life.
His passion and love were NASCAR and the Seattle Seahawks, following each game and journaling all game stats since 1982. Bruce was very devoted to his mother, as she was his No. 1 gal. Her passing last Thanksgiving left him inconsolable.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Jackson; his sister, Debi Hofeldt; and his niece, Dorinda Bernardi.
He survived by his brother, Rich Bernardi of Great Falls; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mitzi (Mark) Bennett of Fort Benton, and Gina (Jim) Schaff of Havre; and several nieces and nephews.
Per Bruce and his mother's request, their cremated remains will be buried in the spring at Highland Cemetery.
Bruce's family would like to thank his special caregiver, Mattiah Hutchins, for her devotion and care for Bruce and his mother.
