Christmas Day is renowned the world round for festive food with family and friends gathered to share in the blessings of love and life.
The Bergren family will be extending their table once again this year to include the entire Havre community.
They will serving Christmas dinner to everyone who will join them Dec. 25 at the Havre Eagles Club at 202 1st St. in Havre from 11 a. m. to 2 p. m.
Anyone who would like to participate in helping prepare or serve can come early and stay late. Sometimes visiting is the best gift to share, said organizers.
Meals will be delivered to everyone who phones the North Central Senior Citizens Center by Thursday, Dec. 23, no later than 4 p. m. The Senior Center will be closed Friday, Dec. 24, all day. The number to call to arrange to have Christmas dinner delivered is 265-5464.
Anyone wishing to help with delivery of these meals can show up on Christmas morning.
Jerry Bergren and his sons, Scott and Bob, along with his grandchildren, took this endeavor over from Bob Sivertsen around seven years ago. Jerry Bergren said the generous help from Devon Energy Corporation and the National Wild Turkey Federation have enabled him to offer this community event this year. Financial donations are always appreciated, he added.
Everyone in the Havre area is invited to this dinner celebration, said Jerry Bergren.
