HPS Foundation alumni game set for Sunday

Havre-area residents have the chance to watch some former Havre High School Blue Ponies compete this weekend in a fundraiser for the Havre Public Schools Education Foundation.
The sixth annual Holiday Hoops Alumni Games is set to start Sunday at the Havre Middle School at noon.
The alumni expected to attend include Dan Wirtzberger, Katie Wirtzberger, Stacey Sheppard, Cory Brothers, Daine Solomon, Scott Ladenburg, Amy McLain, Gary Wagner, Coda Tchida, Kelsey Evans, Scott Miller, Tanner Veis, Chris Brandt, Karly Evans, Billy Wagner, Michael Sharp, Stephanie Stremcha, Kyle Finneman, Grayson Winsor, Kaden Keto, Tony Filler, Holly Cartwright, Cassi Dara, Jeremiah Moog and Michael Odegard.
The event starts with a chili feed, with the chili donated by PJ’s Restaurant and sold in Blue Pony mugs for $6 each.
The games, with teams sponsored by Allstate Aageson Agency, Havre Laundry and Dry Cleaning and Master Sports, begin at 1 p.m.
The day includes a 3-point shot competition, a silent auction of autographed Blue Pony gear and recogition of Havre High alumni cheerleaders as well as group photos being taken between games, and a prize drawing.
The event costs $5 for people 12 and older, with a nonperishable food donation to the Havre Food Bank buying a chance in the prize drawing.
