The Havre High wrestling team has three championship matches left at the Class A state tournament in Butte, and the Ponies are in third place following the consolation finals. Laurel leads the way with 185 points. Belgrade is in second with 179.5 points while Havre sits in third with 177.

Six Ponies wrestled in placing matches Saturday afternoon with junior Kameron Pribyl finishing third at 152 pounds. Gilbert Bara (112), Zack Smith (130) and Jared Ruttkfosky (189) all placed fourth, while Dillon Seely (135) was fifth and Tyler Adams (HWT) was sixth.

 

Consolation Semifinals

112 - Gilbert Bara won 9-4; 130 - Zack Smith won 3-2; 135 - Dillon seely lost 7-0; 152 - Kameron Pribyl won 11-0; Jared Ruttkofsky won by fall; HWT - Tyler Adams lost 3-2.

 

Third-Fourth Place

112 - Gilbert Bara lost decision to Levi Gingerich, COR, 3-2; 130 - Zack Smith lost maj. dec. to Marty Etchemendy, MC, 12-1; 152 - Kameron Pribyl won dec. over Mike Devlin, POL, 1-0; Jared Ruttkofsky lost dec. to Skylar Carroll, LIV, 7-3.
