There was not letdown from the Montana State University-Northern men's basketball team. One night after winning an emotional game over nationally-ranked UM-Western the Lights easily toppled Montana Tech 60-38 Saturday night in Havre.

Northern played a flawless defensive game which led to a 27-14 halftime lead. Then, in the second half, the Lights turned up the offensive heat, as LaVon Myers sparked an 11-0 Northern run with three straight 3-pointers. Myers finished with a game-high 18 points and Joe Simpson tacked on 11 points and five rebounds as the No. 25 Lights improved to a league-best 7-3. Northern is 18-7 overall and in first place in the Frontier Conference heading into next weekend's road trip to Rocky Mountain and Carroll College.
