In a thrilling turn of events, the Montana State University-Northern women's basketball team gave head coach Chris Mouat his 100th career win at Northern by crushing the Carroll College Fighting Saints for a second time this season. Only this time the Skylights did it on Carroll's home floor. Saturday night in Helena, Northern thrashed the Saints 70-54 to improve to 4-8 in Frontier Conference play and 13-14 overall. Northern returns home to face Westminster College and Lewis-Clark State in regular season finales this Friday and Saturday.

On the men's side Saturday night, it was the Saints who upset the 16th-ranked Lights 54-47 in a defensive struggle. With the loss, the Lights (8-4, 19-8) dropped into a first-place tie with Carroll heading into the final weekend of the Frontier's regular season. Northern hosts Westminster and LC State this weekend.
