Yvette C. Anderson Blue
Yvette C. Anderson Blue, 76, of Sweet Home, Ore., went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 5, 2011.
She was born on Nov. 25, 1934, in Park Grove, Mont., to her parents, Bruce and Alice (Whipple) Anderson. Along with her older brother, Bobby, Yvette grew up in Havre and graduated Havre High School. Soon after graduation, she married Calvin Winters and moved to Lethbridge, Canada, where she had and raised her four children. One of Yvette's most precious gifts was being a loving mom to her children.
In 1966, she returned to the United States and in 1967 moved to Seattle, where she was employed at the University of Washington as a telecommunications manager for the university hospital and campuses. Yvette married Howard Blue on Feb. 21, 1981, and upon retirement they chose Sweet Home, Ore., to be their home.
Yvette loved her family, gardening, cooking, fishing and being a selfless servant of the Lord.
Yvette is survived by her husband, Howard; her children, Lori Kirkham of Pennsylvania, Greg Winters of Havre, Mellany Winters of Washington state, and Jenifer Winters of Sweet Home; and her grandchildren of Washington state.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Anderson.
Services were held in Sweet Home Feb. 12, 2011.
