For the first time in six seasons, the Rocky Boy Stars won't be heading to a state boys basketball tournament. On Saturday morning at the Northern B Divisional in Shelby, the Stars were eliminated from the postseason by the Malta Mustangs 64-58 in overtime. The loss ended Rocky Boy's season at 19-5, with two of those losses coming at the hands of the Mustangs, who will play Cut Bank in tonight's consolation game. Lesin Oats led the Stars in the loss with 21 points. Saturday's loss to Malta not only means the Stars won't have a chance to defend their state title form a year ago, bu8t next week's Class B state championship game will mark the first time in four years Rocky Boy won't be in a state title game.
