For the second day in a row, the Havre North Stars American Legion baseball team found itself on both ends of the spectrum. Saturday night at the North Star Memorial Tournament at Legion Field, the North Stars split a pair of games as the tournament concluded its second day. In the evening game, Havre beat Northern District rival Vauxhall 7-4 behind a complete-game pitching performance by Kolby Sukut. Havre also got two hits and two RBIs from Justin Jensen.

But in the nightcap that followed, it was the Glendive Blue Devils who turned in a strong performance. The Blue Devils beat the North Stars 8-2 despite a solid outing by Havre pitcher Mark Vukasin, who struck out seven Blue Devils in a seven-inning start. The North Stars (7-5) will wrap up tournament play Sunday at 1 p.m. against the Tri-County Cardinals.
