Steven Edward Weigand, 34, took his final ride home on June 11, 2011, at 4:20 a.m. in Missoula, Mont.
Steve was born in Havre, Mont., on May 17, 1977, and raised in Chinook, Mont.
Steve's passions in life were traveling, music, riding his Harley, being a daddy, pulling pranks, joking, making funny faces, his green thumb and spending time with family and friends.
Steve graduated at the top of his class in 1994 at age 16. He then left home on one of many life journeys. He would just drop by unexpectedly, but always right when you needed him. He traveled cross-country, back and forth, to see friends and family, just to stop by and catch up and share stories. He always had a way of seeing the good in people and helping them recognize their potential.
In 1997, he learned of new passions and loves when he went to his first Rainbow gathering. He would return to many more throughout the years, always bringing new people to share with them what he had found. During those years is when he owned his first bus, The Fugawi. His second and final bus still remains and will continue to travel for him.
In 2002, Steve's daughter Kyrie Farrahn was born in Missoula, Mont. Steve yet again found a new love for life, being a daddy. Humboldt, Calif., became our home from 2003 to 2011. Steve accomplished more life dreams there as he listened for his calling as a medicine man. We also owned two businesses, The Emerald Triangle and Emerald Triangle Tattoo. He became part of a bike community of friends and new family where he would take part in Toys for Tots bike runs, bike festivals, bike nites and, of course, just riding.
In 2010, our son River Neil was born; that is when we made our final journey back to Montana. He spent the last year reconnecting with old friends and family, sharing stories and making new ones, yet again.
Steve was joined with open arms by his big brother, Neil Weigand; cousins, Joey Reed and Stacey Shore; soul sister, Emily Friend; soul brothers, Blaine Wombold and Russell Turcotte; and his nephew, Ashton Teel.
Steve will be missed and cherished forever by his family, Meaghan McKnight, Kyrie and River; mother, Tommy; father, Edgar; brothers, Chris and J.P.; nephews, Stephen and Kavan; and nieces, Sierra and Cheyenne; also by his Fugawi Tribe, The Humboldt Crew, and numerous friends and family who were lucky enough to cross paths with him.
Welcome home, Steve. Lovin' U always!
